Itâs been a while since the last delegate compensation thread was posted so here is a new post to update the DAO.
Delegates are expected to report their participation below to receive delegate compensation.
Delegates are required to maintain 70% Participation and 70% Communication within the relevant time period to be eligible for delegation compensation within that period.
Delegates can utilize this Dune Querry 12 to find the lowest level of Hop within the time period.
Delegates can also use this graph 9 to determine their compensation by using their lowest Hop for the specified period.

The period to be considered for reporting is July 11th - August 10th and August 11th - September 10th and September 11 - October 10.
the period ending sep 10 will be the conclusion of the first 6-month period. i believe the period beginning sep 11 and ending oct 10 will be the first to apply the multiplier to rewards per HIP-28 for consistent participation. so, delegates who have participated and communicated as required for 6 months rolling should remember to add the multiplier to the 3rd calculation here. i believe this is accomplished by changing the variable âPâ = 1 in the graph.
Hey Lefteris, Glad you saw the ping. Regarding voting and communication I believe you are correct since both are public.
It would be helpful if you can post in this thread your lowest delegated HOP during each period and the expected reward based on the formula. Per dybsyâs comment, remember that P=1 for the last period (9/11/23-10/10/23) because the first delegate cycle has passed.
Going forward it would be great if the DAO could create a dashboard that states how many votes a delegate has for each period, voting and communication participation, and automatically calculates the rewards with these inputs so delegates can focus solely on voting and discussion instead of spending time in this thread.
It seems like the compromise here to minimize the tedium of the reporting process is that delegates no longer need to find the links to their comments or votes, but do still need to calculate their compensation. Simply stating whether or not you voted and using the honor system will suffice (itâs not too difficult to verify, and reputational risk seems like a good enough deterrent). At least a step in the right direction?
